Real BHI Weddings: Jaime and Tom
Whew! I’ve been so busy working over on my food blog, I’ve had too little time to stay on top of getting all my weddings from the spring posted. I knew these photos from Millie Holloman Photography were going to be awesome when they came in – their work never disappoints, and this was no exception.
First things first – Jaime bought these awesome PJ sets for herself and all of her bridesmaids from Plum Pretty Sugar. They all matched and were so cute for the getting ready photos! I ordered a pair for myself and my sister for her birthday when I got home, and I can honestly tell you that I love them. They get softer the more you wash them. I love wearing them on the days I spend cooking all day in the kitchen and crafting recipes. If you’re looking for the perfect bridesmaids gift, I highly recommend checking their products out!
Jaime and Tom were married at the Shoals Club on Bald Head Island May 21, 2016. They had the largest wedding party I’ve ever worked with – 1o bridesmaids, 10 groomsmen, 2 junior bridesmaids, 2 flower girls, and 1 ring bearer. Once we added in Jaime and Tom themselves, we were up to 27 people to coordinate! That’s a lot when you’re lining up, walking down the aisle, and then reorganizing for formal announcements for the reception entrance. But, we pulled it off, and all went smoothly! The ceremony and reception were beautiful, and the Shoals Club staff came through for yet another wonderful event.
Jaime and Tom hired a great band for the reception, and after the sun went down, the real party started. Jaime changed into a dress that would allow her to dance a bit more than her bridal gown, and the party began! The bouquet and garter toss were quickly followed by a box of light up headbands, costume decorations, and glow necklaces that the wedding guests adorned. The viking helmets, shark fins, and light up rastafarian dreads combined with some Journey tunes and an open bar ensured a good time was had by all! And the dance moves. Alllll the dance moves happening here.
