As the spring wedding season begins to ramp up, we are looking back at Matt and Nikki’s wedding from last fall! What a fun, laid back event. And their guest book was such a creative idea for a beach wedding–an unfinished adirondack chair, which the guests wrote their well wishes on, and Nikki & Matt took home to seal and enjoy for years to come! As always, I think the pictures speak better than words can, so we’ll let them do the talking.
OK, I know I post these all the time. You’re welcome. But seriously…who doesn’t want a good deal to visit BHI? Whether you need a quick planning weekend or a romantic getaway to remember where it all started, here’s a deal for you.
Wow! Time has really gotten away from me. It took me awhile to obtain the images from this wedding, and then once I did, the holidays rolled in with all their glory, and my time became dedicated to cooking, family, and spending time by the fire with a book and a cup of tea.
But what a perfect time to post about a summer wedding! It’s chilly out, we’ve all survived the polar vortex (for now), and we’re dreaming of warm, sunny days by the ocean. While we still have a few more months before spring and summer weddings are upon us, lets escape through the photos of this fabulous wedding and dream of the sun warming our faces by the sea.
Jacki and Bobby were married on Bald Head Island on March 9, 2013. The ceremony was held at the BHI Chapel and the reception was held at the Wisner’s home on Cape Fear Trail. With the reduction in available wedding reception venues and dates through BHI, Ltd, the Wisner’s home is a wonderful option for smaller groups looking for a more personal, intimate setting. The day was a beautiful one, and while the weather did turn cool at night, heaters kept the patio warm and the party going!
