I have been vacationing on Bald Head Island since I was 12 years old. When I first started going there, there was no grocery store, no hardware store, no clothing store--nothing, really. Just a small shop called the Ship’s Chandler, where you could get a gallon of milk and a newspaper.

I was married on Bald Head Island in May of 2009. In addition to my wedding planning experience, I have firsthand experience of the nuances of a BHI wedding!

I have a master’s degree in Forensic Psychology, and I also work as a Criminal Intelligence Analyst for a police department. I love working with couples on their weddings because it lets me see the happier side of the world, celebrating love, and allows me to leave the negative influences of my job at work.

I love LOVE, and I love helping other people find the best way for them to celebrate their love for one another.

I have a weakness for Goldfish crackers. I always have a bag (or two) on hand.

My friends are one of the most important things in my life. I still keep in touch with friends I had in kindergarten.

Pizza is my favorite food. I could eat it every night of the week if my husband would cooperate with the idea.

I attended the College of Charleston in Charleston, SC for undergrad and quickly realized you could fall in love with a place just as much as you could a person. I moved back in December of 2010, and it is still everything I remember it to be.

I met my husband in a bar. I was his waitress, and he left me a 100% tip and his phone number. I never called the numbers that were left on receipts, but I called his. Once we talked, he said he’d never left his number on a receipt before. Our first date lasted until 5am and ended with breakfast.

I am passionate about music. I have 4 huge books of CD’s, which I think total around 500+. Someday I’ll get around to uploading them all to my iTunes...

I’ve run two half-marathons and one full marathon. I will probably never run another full marathon, but wouldn’t mind a few more half marathons. It’s such a more reasonable distance to get your head around.

I love roller coasters, hikes to the top of mountains with great views, ice cream, cooking, my dog, my husband, naps, trying new things, and sunflowers.

There is nothing I love more than the beach. It is the place I feel most at peace with myself and the world. As usual, its been said better by someone else before: “The cure for everything is salt water: sweat, tears, and the sea.” ~Isak Dinesen
